Please find a few e-consent tools including an extra certification page, better consent review workflow and PDF saving tools, and improved signature box look and workflow. As an optional tool, additional e-consent values (i.e., name, date of birth, address, etc.) can be added to the PDF as extra documentation of the identity of the person who is consenting.

Make sure use surveys is enabled:

The next step is to decide if you would like to automatically send a confirmation e-mail and 

if you would like the PDF of the completed survey to be included as an attachment:

Users will be see the REDCap Consent survey in the same format as a classic REDCap Survey. Just build the Consent Survey

with the consent questions you would like to include.  You can use branching logic and required fields.

This looks much like the current process, once the Next Page is selected the review screen will appear.

The e-consent participant will then have to certify, and once they certify, they can Submit. After Submitting, depending on you settings,

the user may automatically receive a copy of the consent. If you put Zix: in the subject line, REDCap will send an encrypted message to the 

participant.

The new framework will also save your consents in the PDF Survey Archive. This can be access via the Applications Side Bar Menu → 

File Repository → PDF Survey Archive.  This is a really useful tool as it stores all of your electronic consent documents in one place.  

It also is search enabled and will allow you to Download a zip file of all consents.
