Service Pricing
The Centre for Health Informatics (CHI) operates REDCap on a cost-recovery model. This means fees help maintain the platform and provide high-quality support for researchers.
Annual Maintenance Fee
All active REDCap projects are subject to an annual platform maintenance fee.
This fee supports system administration, security, backups, and licensing.
Accounts expire after 6 months of inactivity, but project fees remain in effect until a project is formally closed.
Service Plans / Tiers
To provide flexibility, CHI offers different service plans for REDCap projects:
Self-service projects – built and maintained entirely by the research team.
Supported projects – built or customized by CHI’s REDCap development team.
Clinical trials – hosted on the validated REDCap platform, subject to additional validation fees and documentation requirements.
Discounts may be available for researchers with multiple projects.
