Changing project status requires the Project Design and Setup user privilege.

Development Mode

Development mode is used when designing, setting up, and initially testing the project.

Do not input real data into the project until it is in production

Development mode allows for instruments and other setup features to be easily changed, which means that it erases test data without warning. Real data can still be used for testing purposes.

Production Mode

A project in production had additional checks in place to ensure data is not lost or erased. As a result, changing the project’s design or setup is more difficult.

Always move to production before using the project to collect real data

Move to Production

  1. Go to the Project Setup page

  2. At the bottom, click ‘Move project to production

  3. Decide whether to keep the existing data. Click ‘YES, Move to Production Status

Analysis/Cleanup Mode

Moving the to this mode will disable most project functionality, ensuring further data is not being collected. The collected data remains intact. The existing data can be made editable or not.

Move to Analysis/Cleanup Mode

  1. Go to the Project Setup page

  2. Click the ‘Other Functionality’ tab

  3. Click ‘Move to Analysis/Cleanup status’

In the Other Functionality tab, an option now appears to make the project data editable or locked.
