This guide explains how AHS users can request access to RStudio to query the APPROACH Online Reporting database
Step-by-step guide
- Download the Request for Access to APPROACH Online form from this page (APPROACH Online - Request for Access - v1.3.pdf.
- NOTE - If you already have an APPROACH Online account please note this on the form (something to the "modify account" or "change existing account" would suffice) to clarify that you just need additional access (to RStudio). Be sure to check "Yes" for "Will you need access to report on APPROACH data?" and then check "RStudio database." In Details let us know if it is RStudio - Identifiable or RStudio-De-Identifiable information that you will require. Please ensure that you have filled out the form completely and have it approved (and signed) by your supervisor.
- Log into the APPROACH Service Desk
- If you do not have access to the APPROACH Service Desk, please send us an e-mail at support@approach.org and we will create an account for you
- If you have a designated admin person for your site, you may also choose to ask them to submit the request on your behalf
- Select the Request for Access (New Account Creation) option
- Fill out the form details (anything with a * is mandatory).
- Fill out all other fields, scan the previously filled out Request for Access to APPROACH Online form and upload the document
- for the Desired Due Date, please be aware that we cannot guarantee that this date can be met, as we are fulfilling requests on a "best effort" basis!
- Submit the request
- Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation e-mail
- we will then review your request and contact you for any additional information
