Home - an overview of REDCap’s features and a place for system-wide messages

My Projects - a list of all the REDCap projects to which you have access to

New Projects- How to start a new project

Help & FAQ - search all REDCap FAQs (maintained by Vanderbilt/the REDCap Consortium)

Training Videos - learn about both basic and advanced REDCap features

Send It - a tool for sending files to recipients securely via email

Messenger - a tool for messaging other uses within REDCap

 

Profile - allows you to edit your information (name, email, phone number, password) and other preferences.

Log out - click to log out of REDCap

 

REDCap’s Project Menu

After clicking on a project, a menu will appear on the left-hand side of the page. The sections available in this menu depend on your project’s setup and your user permissions.

The REDCap logo will take you back to the Home Page

Log out - lets you log out of REDCap from this page

My Projects - returns you to the My Projects page

 

Project Home - provides general dashboard information

Project Setup and Designer - available only if you have project design and setup privileges

Survey Distribution Tools - provides tools for public surveys, sending survey invitations, tracking responses, etc

Record Status Dashboard - an overview of all existing records & instruments in the project that you have access to

Add / Edit Records - for data entry, search, and editing

 

 

The Applications menu contains tools that vary depending on your project’s setup. Some frequently-used items are:

Data Exports, Reports, and Stats - allows for summaries of the collected data and the ability to download data files

User Rights - add users and give project staff permission to view or edit the project

Data Quality - create and run rules to check for data issues, such as missing values
